Pietro Airoldi. Architect and PhD in Design. He studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the Università di Palermo and at ETSAM: Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid. In 2009 he opened Studio Pietro Airoldi in Palermo, dealing with architectural projects, interior and exhibition design, as well as consultancy for cultural institutions and international organizations. The search for the right balance between new interventions and the context, the concept of “minimal intervention”, the selective reuse of materials and spaces are the inspiring principles of the design focuses of the studio. His works have been published in international design magazines and media. In 2013 he began his teaching activity in some Universities and in the Academy. Since 2022 he is teaching Exhibition Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo.

Valeria Guerrisi. Architect with specialization in management and enhancement of heritage and cultural heritage. Partner in the firm Warehouse of Architecture and Research in Rome from 2017 to 2022, she is currently Research Manager at the “Center of Excellence – Technology District for Heritage and Cultural Activities” where she collaborates on the coordination of the Infrastructure of Research since 2022. Since 2019, she is coordinator of editorial board of the magazine of criticism of contemporary architecture Panteon. She collaborated as a consultant at the Ministry of Culture – Directorate General Education and Research and as assistant at the Registrar and Conservation’s office at the Fondazione MAXXI – Museum of the 21st Century Arts.

Izabela Anna Rzeczkowska-Moren is a researcher, writer and curator. She is a founding member of Fondazione Studio Rizoma in Palermo, Sicily, where she works on assembling untold narratives in marginalised contexts through artistic research projects, festivals and publications. Izabela holds Curating and Critical Writing degrees from Central St. Martins and the Royal College of Art in London. She was Digital Editor of the MACRO Museum in Rome and Communication Director of the design fair NOMAD. She is the author of Living in the Desert (Phaidon, 2018), Glass Houses (Phaidon, 2022), and Where We Learn (Frame, 2022). She is currently a PhD candidate in Cultural Heritage at the University of Tor Vergata in Rome and a lecturer in Architecture and Environment at Syracuse University in Florence.
